Terms of Service

These Terms apply when you use Img ID's website, API, or mobile applications (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Img ID analyzes still images and returns AI-generated image assessments, descriptions, detected components, extracted text, and available file metadata. Results are automated estimates and are not proof of an image's origin, authenticity, ownership, or legality.

2. Prohibited content and use

You must not upload, analyze, share, or otherwise use the Service to submit NSFW content. In these Terms, NSFW content includes:

You must also not submit content that is illegal, infringes another person's rights, or otherwise violates these Terms.

Automated screening runs before storage or analysis, but it can make mistakes: it may miss prohibited content or block legitimate medical or scientific images. It does not verify age, identity, rights, or consent. Do not try to bypass screening or use the Service to assess whether prohibited content is acceptable.

We may reject or stop processing an upload, disable a share link, remove content from our systems, or restrict access when we identify a violation. We may preserve or disclose information when applicable law requires or permits it.

3. Your responsibility for uploaded images

You are responsible for every image you upload. You must have the legal right and all required permissions and consent to submit and analyze it, including consent from identifiable people where required. Img ID does not endorse, own, or independently verify user-submitted images, a user's rights to them, or anyone's consent.

To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for the content you submit and we disclaim responsibility for user-submitted images and their use. Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility or rights that applicable law does not allow to be excluded or limited.

4. AI processing services

Uploaded images are screened by an automated check on Img ID's servers before storage or analysis. Blocked uploads are not stored by Img ID or sent to an AI provider. If accepted, an image is sent through OpenLux for analysis using Gemini 3.5 Flash-Lite. If fallback routes are enabled and an earlier route is unavailable, processing may also use OpenLux GPT-6 Luna and then Codex GPT-6 Luna (OpenAI). Img ID does not use a direct Google API route. Each provider's applicable terms and data practices govern any data it handles or retains. See our Privacy Policy.

5. Share links and 24-hour retention

Each uploaded image and its analysis result are available through Img ID for 24 hours from the original upload. At the end of that period, the share link stops working and Img ID stops serving the image and result. Our scheduled cleanup and object-storage lifecycle remove our stored copies after expiry. These deletion processes run asynchronously, so physical deletion from our storage may take additional time after the link expires.

This cleanup cannot remove copies that you or recipients downloaded, saved in a browser or device, or sent to a third-party provider. Provider retention is governed by that provider's terms. The 24-hour limit applies to uploads through both the website and mobile apps.

6. Accuracy and availability

The Service is provided "as is" and may be interrupted, unavailable, or produce inaccurate results. Do not rely on an analysis as the sole basis for a decision. To the extent permitted by law, Img ID is not responsible for decisions made based only on an analysis result.

7. Changes and contact
